Plasma energy involves the ionisation of gases to create an electrical arc of energy from the needle tip on the hand piece to the surface of the skin. The depth of the skin penetration depends on the settings selected and reflects the treatment being delivered and location on the body.
Plasma bt provides the most precise and fine tuneable plasma surgical treatments. The precision of the treatment means the surrounding areas of skin are undamaged, meaning it is much less invasive than other plasma devices, as well as laser or diathermy.
Skin tightening treatments, are now available with results that previously could only have been achieved with surgery. One of the most popular treatments is non-surgical Blepharoplasty which tightens the loose skin causing hooded eyes and eye bags. It is also very effective in tightening loose skin on the neck and improving skin texture. The right treatment plan gives results lasting as long as surgery without the cost, risk or down time.
The surgical hand piece can instantly remove warts, moles (cosmetic only), skin tags cherry angiomas and pigmentation.
Several applications are needed for tattoo removal. As well as being much kinder to the skin it is also very effective in removing coloured tattoos. A topical numbing cream is applied to aid patient comfort
Plasma shower ®
Plasma poration removes the bacteria from the skin and the ionised radicals stimulate collagen regeneration, allows Trans Dermal Drug Delivery System (TDDS), kills bacteria and brightens skin.
Plasma shower can be used on its own as an acne treatment, for TDDS with serums, HA acids and bio remodelling products that would normally have to be administered with needles. It can also be used in combination with Plasma Surgical to accelerate wound healing and sterilise the treatment area.

Downtime
The skin may feel tingly and hot after treatment.
The treated area needs to be kept clean and dry for 48 hours.
Skin lesions -A scab will form the size of the skin lesion that was removed to protect the skin underneath. The skin normally heals in around 7 days, the new skin will be pink which will fade.
Skin tightening – There will be an array of small dots in the treatment area that will become protective crusts/ scabs. These will start to fall off after 4-7 days to reveal new pink skin, which will fade. There may be tenderness and swelling depending on the area that is treated.

Does the treatment hurt?
A local anaesthetic is used to numb the area to be treated. There can be some heat and tingling sensation. The skin may feel tender after treatment.
Will I see the results straight away?
Skin lesions – These will be removed immediately but the area will scab.
Skin tightening – Results will be visible in 4- 6 weeks.
How long will the results last?
Skin tightening results normally last around 3-5 years.
What is the aftercare?
The treated skin will need to be kept clean and dry for 48 hours.
The scabs must not be picked and be left to fall off naturally.
SPF must be used to protect the skin.
Who can have this treatment?
A full Consultation is given prior to treatment to ensure you are suitable. Being unwell, suffering from certain health conditions or taking some medications may prevent you from being able to receive this treatment. This will all be discussed during your Consultation.
