How Does It Work?
SkinPen precision is a medical microneedling device that triggers the natural wound healing process of the skin, jump starting new collagen production with no heat, chemicals or invasive injections.
Does the Treatment Hurt?
A tingling sensation is felt during treatment. If needed, a topical numbing cream can be used before treatment to increase comfort.
What Is the Aftercare?
You will be provided with a gel to use at home for 24 hours after the treatment. During the first 24 hours, no other products can be used, the skin must be kept clean, cool and out of the sun. If the body has been treated then you will need to wear loose fitting, clean clothes that allow the skin to breath. A cream is provided for use after 24 hours and this must be combined with an SPF.
When Will I See Results?
Type 3 collagen begins to be stimulated within the first 24 hours and the skin will start to feel tighter, Type 1 collagen is then produced and this long lasting collagen is then produced for up to a year. 3 or more monthly treatments may be needed for optimum results, depending on the skin concern being treated.
Who Can Have This Treatment?
A full Consultation is given prior to treatment to ensure you are suitable. Being unwell, suffering from certain health conditions or taking some medications may prevent you from being able to receive this treatment. This will all be discussed during your Consultation.
