Aqualyx ® and Celluform+ ® Fat Dissolving Injections
Aqualyx® and Celluform+® are injectable treatments for stubborn pockets of fat that are still evident when at a healthy weight. Sometimes genetics prevent diet and exercise from impacting on these areas of stored fat.
Both treatments contain deoxycholic acid. This acid is naturally produced in the liver to aid the digestion of fat. The fat dissolving effect of this acid has been utilised, developed and manufactured for safe and effective treatment of unwanted fat.
The active substance locks on to the fat cell walls, breaking them down and releasing the fatty acids that are stored within. Cell residue is removed by the body and the non-attached fatty acids are metabolised.
Aqualyx® can be used all over the body to dissolve fatty deposits, including Double chin, upper arms, stomachs, hips, inner and outer thighs, knees. A thin flexible cannula is used to inject the Aqualyx® directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue. The treatment is mixed with local anaesthetic and is virtually painless.
Celluform+® is the only deoxycholic acid with active ingredients specifically designed for the treatment of submental fat (double chin). It not only removes the fat but also stimulates collagen to firm the skin for a more youthful, defined chin and jaw. A small needle is used to inject the Celluform+® directly in to the fatty tissue with reduced trauma and swelling.

What is the aftercare?
Keep the area dry for 12 hours and do not apply any cosmetics or topical ointments, avoid extreme heat (sunbathing, saunas etc) and abstain from demanding physical exercise for 7 days.

Continue with a healthy balanced diet and lifestyle to help reduce the risk of laying down fatty deposits in other areas of the body.
When is the treatment not recommended?
Treatment is not recommended if you are overweight or have acute / chronic skin disease in the affected area.
Pregnant or lactating women and patients with a history of Anaphylactic reactions, severe allergies, severe organic or physical illness are excluded from treatment.
