Radiesse®
The missing piece in the facial rejuvenation puzzle!
I am delighted to announce that I am offering a very different type of filler treatment in my clinic…
Radiesse® gives an instant, natural lift, and contour, as well as having a rejuvenating long-term effect, stimulating collagen and elastin for skin Regeneration. Whilst Radiesse® has been used in the UK for many years, I have only recently decided to introduce it to my patients after accessing high quality 1:1 certified training. Radiesse® is the perfect addition to my portfolio of premium, rejuvenating and regeneration treatments for those patients who don’t want to appear ‘done’.
So, What Is Radiesse®?
As we age, our skin loses elastin and collagen and at the same time, we lose the ability to retain moisture. As a result, fine lines and wrinkles begin to form and skin begins to sag.
Radiesse® is a minimally invasive cosmetic skin procedure that stimulates your own naturally occurring collagen and elastin – regenerating your skin health and rebuilding its internal structures over time.
It is perfectly suited to those patients who don’t want to have filler and risk any potential chance of looking slightly ‘puffy’ over time. It can also be given alongside other treatments to boost results.
How Does Radiesse Work?
Radiesse® is an injectable treatment (either with a needle or cannula) and can be used to treat the face, neck and hands – Its 2-pronged approach, not only smooths any deep lines and wrinkles, it also provides you with some extra definition and rejuvenation, to give truly natural results.
Rather than just add volume, Radiesse® can be used to add extra definition to the face, sculpting and lifting naturally. This is a treatment that is very different to Hyaluronic Acid based Dermal Fillers. Its Calcium based, so does not attract moisture, it is long lasting and the ‘gel carrier’ that is used to deliver the product disappears over a short period of time, leaving enhanced collagen and elastin production that rebuilds your skin structure from within.
Radiesse® begins working to smooth out the skin immediately after being injected. However, most patients start to notice a significant improvement in their skin within a week of receiving the injections. Results can last for a year (often longer) after only one treatment.
Typically used in the lower and mid-section of the face, Radiesse® gives your skin volume again – and it does so without looking like you’ve had a procedure done.
Radiesse® is particularly useful in the mid and lower face areas. It can also be used on hands that have visible signs of ageing – adding volume and smoothing out any fine lines. Radiesse® provides good support and helps lift areas, such as the creases around the mouth (nasolabial folds), chin, jaw line. This is unlike any other treatment that I use at my clinic and is ideally suited to those who want to remain as natural looking as possible.
Injections are administered under the skin, usually with a small cannula (a long, blunt needle). The ingredients in Radiesse® are non-toxic, non-allergenic, and compatible with your body’s natural tissues.
Who Is an Ideal Patient for Radiesse®?
Ideal patients for Radiesse® treatments are adults aged 35 and over, who have lost volume and definition, developed jowls and folds/lines around their lower face, mouth, and nose.
It is also excellent for patients who want the skin on their hands rejuvenated and looking younger.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Know if I Need Radiesse or HA Dermal Fillers?
HA based dermal fillers are used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and to treat volume loss. Radiesse is to treat lines that have progressed to become deeper or creases in the skin. It is excellent for restoring lost contours without ever looking over filled or ‘puffy’.
If you are unsure and would like to discuss further, please book a consultation.
Does the Treatment Hurt?
A topical numbing cream can be used to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. Treatment techniques and consumables are chosen to give the optimum results with minimum discomfort. The filler also contains Lidocaine (a local numbing agent) to further increase comfort during treatment.
Will the Results Be Visible Straight Away?
yes, the results will be visible immediately, but the best results will begin to be seen around 2 weeks after treatment when the treated area has settled, these will continue to improve for several weeks, giving a beautiful and natural result.
How Long Do Results Last?
Due to the rejuvenating actions of Radiesse, results can be seen 12 months plus, it has been reported in some patients to still see results after 2 years. Repeat treatments can be given without fear of ever looking overdone.
