Thermavein ® Facial Vein Treatment

ThermaVein is a machine which uses a very low current delivered through a needle the width of a hair. Although originally designed for the treatment of facial thread veins, ThermaVein has several other uses.

Treatment Summary

Treatment Time

The treatment itself will last no more than 15 minutes, regardless of the number of veins you have. A 15-minute treatment is the maximum time recommended. Often, ThermaVein treatment lasts less than 15 minutes.

No. of Treatments

The number of treatments depends on the size of the area to be treated. As explained above the maximum time we can treat in one sitting is 15 minutes. If you have a very large number of thread veins you will probably require a second and maybe a third treatment session.

Downtime

The skin may be red after treatment and may have a ‘cat scratch’ appearance. The skin may take a few days to settle down and there may be some dryness or scabbing.

The number of treatments depends on the size of the area to be treated. As explained above the maximum time we can treat in one sitting is 15 minutes. If you have a very large number of thread veins you will probably require a second and maybe a third treatment session.

Who can have ThermaVein treatments?

Although ThermaVein is a very safe treatment, there are some people who should avoid it: pregnant women, epileptic patients and people who have applied fake tan (a genuine suntan is not a problem).
